Commercial construction in the San Francisco Bay Area is a demanding business. Many of the area’s companies are on the cutting edge of new technology, whether it be in the form of a new software package, a breakthrough in medical technology, or the latest in high-speed semiconductor processing.
In most cases, time-to-market is critical. Therefore, a need exists in the marketplace for vendors and suppliers of commercial facilities to be extremely responsive and competent to these demands.
OPI Commercial Builders was founded on the principle of “Commitment to Service” to the demands and fast pace of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
Founded in 2002 by Jon Persing, OPI has positioned itself as a leader in Bay Area interior construction with the successful delivery of numerous facilities projects.
Jon Persing has a background in Civil Engineering and has more than 20 years of experience in commercial construction. He has completed new buildings, seismic upgrades, and corporate headquarters facilities for numerous “marquee” Valley companies. His projects include Clean Rooms, Labs, Biotech facilities, and every conceivable type of interior remodel. Most of these projects have been completed on a fast-track basis, and many while the building was occupied.

David Johnson has been in Silicon Valley commercial construction for the past 21 years. During that time, he has completed more then 60 design build Clean Room and Semiconductor fabrication facilities and more than 400 design build interior improvement projects. Dave has been involved in new building projects, retail and restaurant projects, large-scale structural and interior improvement projects, Data Centers and Server Rooms, traditional manufacturing facilities, Pharmaceutical and BioTech projects, and semiconductor tool installations.
Together the principals at OPI combine to deliver a high level of service, confidence and competence in their approach, along with a strong core of architects and subcontractors capable of delivering commercial interiors faster and more cost-effectively than their competitors.
